As you all know that hair transplant is the only solution for the hair loss now. And now people think, hair transplant is also an alternative of taking hair loss medicines.
But to be honest, hair transplant is the solution for hair loss only not a solution for hair fall. So, if you are having your hair transplant at grade 2-5 and thinking that once you get the surgery done you don’t need anything else.
You might be wrong. In this post, we will discuss the expenses of the medicines you will have to follow after your hair transplant.
We will discuss expenses in two cases:-
Case 1. When you are at the grade of 6-7 of baldness
Case 2. When you are at a grade below 5 of baldness
Case 1. When you are at the grade of 6-7 of baldness:-
As we all know in the case of 6-7 grade of baldness, less number or no existing hair are left. Basically hair fall is totally stopped.
After a hair transplant, there is no need of taking care of existing hair or no need of taking medicines to control hair fall.
So, in this case, most of the hair transplant surgeons recommend medicines and PRP therapy for 6-8 months. These medicines are given just to boost the initial growth of the newly transplanted hair.
There are basically 2 medicines:-
1. Minoxidil 5%:- Although minoxidil is the FDA approved medicine to control hair fall and regrow hair new hair. But in this case, it is just used to boost the initial growth of the newly transplanted grafts. This cost around Rs 800 INR in India.
2. Multivitamins:- These are the tablets containing Biotin 10mg and other vitamins. In India, a packet of these tablets containing 30 tablets costs around 500 INR.
In most of the hair transplant clinics in India, these medicines and PRP therapy for 6 months are included in the cost of the surgery. Means you don’t have to pay extra for these medicines and PRP.
Case 2. When you are at a grade below 5 of baldness:-
As we all know in the cases of below 5 grade of baldness, there is a large number of existing hair are already there in the scalp. And the effect of DHT keeps happening. Basically hair fall is at progression.
So, after transplant, one needs to save existing hair for the future to maintain a good appearance. Other it looks more abnormal.
To controlling or maintaining the existing hair, one needs to follow medications. These medicines are the same as w discuss in case 1.
In most of the cases, hair transplant surgeon recommends only PRP therapy 4-5 times a year to maintain those existing hair.
CONCLUSION:- There are only normal expenses after hair transplant surgery. There is nothing like you need to invest plenty amount of money on your hair after hair transplant surgery.
